10 Best PlayStation 5 Deals in Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days Sale

About

Overview

Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale is now live, and there are some genuinely excellent PS5 game deals to pick up while the sale is running. The offers are exclusive to Prime members and are available from October 6-7, so you've only got a short window to grab any games that catch your eye.

2026 has already been a ridiculously good year for PS5 games, which is great news until you realise just how expensive it can be trying to keep up with everything. Thankfully, Amazon has knocked the price down on a bunch of this year's biggest releases, alongside some older PS5 favourites that are now available for some seriously tempting prices.

I'll highlight some of the best PS5 game deals just below, but keep scrolling for a closer look at the games I'd recommend picking up during Prime Big Deal Days.

TL;DR - Best PS5 Prime Day Deals

The Best PS5 Game Deals at Amazon Right Now

There are some seriously good PS5 discounts in this year's Prime Big Deal Days sale, particularly if you've been waiting for some of 2026's biggest releases to come down in price.

For starters, critical darlings Star Wars: Zero Company and The Blood of Dawnwalker are both discounted on PS5 right now.

Zero Company has dropped to just $47.99, saving you $12 on its list price and marking its first major discount since launch. Meanwhile, Dawnwalker is down to $59.49, more than $10 off its $69.99 MSRP. Both games earned 9/10 scores in their IGN reviews, making either a pretty easy recommendation if you've been waiting to pick them up.

Pragmata is another standout 2026 release, and it's currently down to $39.99 on PS5. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is also down to $59, while Resident Evil Requiem is available for $49.99. The latter is particularly tempting if you're a Resident Evil fan, and it's my favourite game of 2026 so far.

But if you're looking for the kind of discount that makes you stop scrolling and actually open Amazon, there are a few much bigger bargains worth knowing about.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PS5 for just $16.99 is the standout deal for me. You're getting well over 100 hours of content for less than $17, which is frankly ridiculous value for money. This is my top PS5 game deal of Prime Big Deal Days so far, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it sell out before the sale ends on October 7.

If you've somehow managed to avoid it until now, this is about as good an excuse as you're going to get to finally jump into one of the best RPGs on PS5.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is also down to $19.99 on PS5, meaning you can pick up both games for less than $40. That's a frankly silly amount of Final Fantasy 7 for your money.

Another particularly good PS5 deal is Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds for $19.99. That's $50 off for a limited time, making this one of the more substantial discounts in the sale. We gave it a 9 in our IGN review, and I highly recommend it myself. It's an absolute blast, particularly if you're looking for something a little lighter after spending dozens of hours in one of this year's enormous RPGs.

At $20, it's an easy recommendation.

PS5 Console Deals

For those after a PS5, I'd recommend checking out the deals at Best Buy right now instead of Amazon. While there aren't any decent offers floating around on standard PS5 consoles, you can still pick up a refurbished 825GB PS5 (yes, the fat version) for $549.99.

Details

That's $100 saving versus buying a new PS5, and well worth considering if you're desperate for a console before GTA 6 comes out next month.

Speaking of, Best Buy is currently offering a $50 reward certificate to anyone who bundles a Grand Theft Auto 6 preorder with an eligible PlayStation 5 or Xbox console - including the refurbished model that's on sale right now.

Free Best Buy $50 Gift Card When Buying GTA 6 with an Eligible Console

To be eligible for the promo, buyers are required to have a "My Best Buy" membership. New and existing members are eligible for the deal. My Best Buy is free to join, but it also has two separate premium tiers (Plus or Total) with their own benefits. These cost $29.99 or $199.99 per year, respectively.

Technically, it's not an official GTA 6 console bundle; the game and hardware are purchased separately, but the promotion still effectively rewards anyone planning to upgrade their console ahead of what will likely be the biggest game release of all time.

The savings aren't instant, however. Best Buy says eligible customers will receive their $50 promotional certificate in their My Best Buy account around November 25, 2026, meaning you'll need to wait several months before cashing in the bonus credit.

I'd also recommend considering a certified refurbished PS5 directly from PlayStation through the PS Direct store. A refurbished PS5 is currently $549, while the refurbished PS5 Digital Edition is $499.

That makes the choice between Best Buy and PlayStation a little more interesting. For the same price, PS Direct option gets you the newer PS5 design with 1TB of storage, although you'll be giving up Best Buy's $50 reward certificate deal.

If you're happy with digital games, the $499 refurbished PS5 Digital Edition is arguably the most compelling option of the lot, particularly if GTA 6 is the main reason you're buying a console in the first place.

I'd still recommend thinking carefully before going all-in on digital, though. The disc-drive PS5 gives you access to used games, physical discounts, borrowing and reselling games, so that extra $50 isn't necessarily money wasted. But if you have no existing physical library and are comfortable buying digitally, saving that money upfront is certainly a tempting proposition.

Should You Wait for Black Friday?

Honestly? Probably, yeah. While Amazon's October Prime Day sale (Prime Big Deal Days) is a good opportunity to grab a few good deals, more often than not these offers will reappear in a month or less, as they were, or as even better deals. If you can hold out, I'll always recommend waiting a little bit longer in order to save that bit more.

That being said, there is a rare chance that certain deals appear that are worth picking up ASAP. I, and the rest of my team, will often try to call these bargains out as and when we can, so you have the best opportunity to bag them. Otherwise, consider the rest of this article a helpful guide to what's on sale, what you can pick up if you so choose to, and the prices to look for when the Black Friday sales eventually roll around in November.

The only other reason I'd ever suggest not waiting is if you value your time over your money. Now it seems like an obvious statement, but it's not always a luxury we all get to have. If you do desperately want to play that game like right now and it's driving you insane, or your TV just broke, or you lost your headphones, sales like this are a great opportunity to pay yourself in time, so you don't have to stress or fret about something. Whatever the case, do what is best for you. I'm just a silly little guy, writing about silly little deals, on a silly little website.
