Chaotic multiplayer Really Illegal Golf debuts at the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct

How illegal can golf be? You stand on a neatly manicured lawn and whack a ball into a hole. Rinse and repeat up to 18 times and that's it, that's golf. Well, if you sneak onto a golf course with your mates at night and play a few holes, then it becomes Really Illegal Golf, a new game that just got its world premiere at the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct.

Developed by Pushlab Games and published by No More Robots, Really Illegal Golf is a multiplayer game where you and your friends have to sneak around the city, playing golf in all the clubs you've been banned from.

Rather than taking a relaxing stroll through the hills, you'll be sneaking around in bushes avoiding the watchful eye of security guards. If there are too many guards in your way, just zap them with a taser or blow them up with a grenade—this is really illegal golf, after all.

Details

You won't just be breaking onto golf courses, oh no. That would be mildly illegal at most. As you progress through the game, the levels get harder and even more criminal. Eventually you'll be golfing on army bases. Those guards may shoot back if they spot you, so be extra careful there.

As a 31-year-old man, I know how hard it can be to co-ordinate a bunch of friends to play the same game, so fear not, Really Illegal Golf can also be played solo, just like real golf. There's no release date for the full game just yet, but you can download the demo on Steam.
