Control Resonant: Exclusive Metro Fault Mission Gameplay — IGN First
About
Overview
This month’s IGN First is Control Resonant, and we’ve got plenty of exciting looks at new gameplay to show you, as well as deep dives into the combat, enemies, and world of the game. A follow-up to the 2019 original, Remedy Entertainment’s sequel places you in the shoes of Dylan Faden on his mission to rid a warped Manhattan of the paranatural threats corrupting it. To do so, he’ll need to develop his skills and uncover new abilities. This is where today’s exclusive mission gameplay comes into things. The Metro Fault is one of several “Faults” found around this alternate New York. Essentially dungeons, you’ll have to make your way through them in order to acquire the new traversal skill waiting at the end — in this case, Reach, Resonant’s equivalent of a grappling hook. First, though, you’ll have to go deep underground, dodge trains flying at you from all angles, and fight off fungal Mold foes. Make sure to stay tuned all throughout August for much more from Control Resonant! Simon Cardy is a Senior Editor at IGN who can mainly be found skulking around open world games, indulging in Korean cinema, or despairing at the state of Tottenham Hotspur and the New York Jets.
