Everything Coming to Disney+ in August

Disney+ is returning to form with a stacked lineup for August. There’s quite literally something for everyone, from Star Wars, X-Men, and Pokemon to Disney Princesses and Camp Rock. There’s even some League of Legends.

Without further ado, here’s everything coming to Disney+ in August.

Disney+ is starting the month with a pretty diverse slate of new additions. First up, the service will continue to livestream the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago, with the last two days headlined by artists like Olivia Dean and Tate McRae.

It will also be grabbing a selection of documentaries and specials from fellow Disney property ESPN, including some of the network's "30 for 30" movies. Disney+ will also host the streaming premiere for National Geographic's documentary Time and Water.

August 2

Carrying on from its kick-off in July, Disney+ will continue to celebrate Women’s Sports Sundays by streaming select WNBA games.

August 3

• 2026 LoL KeSPA Cup – Live at 4am ET

Yep, you read that right. Disney+ is the official streaming home and sponsor for this year’s KeSPA Cup, a League of Legends tournament hosted by the Korean e-Sports Association. The tournament actually started back in July, featuring 10 teams duking it out for a ₩ 50,000,000 prize pool. You can check up-to-date standings and results here.

• CoComelon Playdates with Sanrio Friends – All Episodes Streaming (Premiere)
• Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro – New Episode
• 2026 LoL KeSPA Cup – Live at 2am ET

In the ultimate crossover of cuteness, CoComelon is releasing a new batch of shorts with Sanrio characters. Another series carrying over from last month is a new Dancing With the Stars spin-off, where contestants are currently vying for a spot as a ‘Pro’ on the show’s next main season.

August 5

• King & Prince: Our Meet-Up in LA – New Episode
• A Shop for Killers Season 2 – New Episodes
• Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi – All Episodes Streaming (Premiere)
• Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Season 3 – All Episodes Streaming (Premiere)

This one’s a big day for TV premieres. The Ninth Jedi is the first full spin-off coming out of the animated Star Wars: Visions anthology series, which we've been big fans of. The new series will be dropping all of its episodes at once, much like the the third and final season of the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place reboot.

In contrast, X-Men ‘97 will continue to stream new episodes every Tuesday. This is another show we can highly recommend, with comics expert Jesse Schedeen describing it as a "the best kind of nostalgic exercise" in his original review.

August 6

While times haven’t been locked in yet, Disney+ subscribers will get access to select PGA Tour livestreams courtesy of ESPN. Disney+ will also be debuting a new 'Throwbacks' podcast featuring cast members from its Disney Channel classics, starting with Camp Rock.

August 7

• Pokémon: Indigo League

• Flex X Cop Season 2 - New Episode (Premiere)

In what I'd consider a pretty massive win for the company, Disney recently snagged the U.S. streaming and broadcast rights to Pokemon. The original series will be available to stream on Disney (and Hulu) starting on August 7, and will also start being broadcast live on the Disney Channel.

Disney+ will also be getting the first season of the Korean action comedy Flex X Cop before premiering the show’s Season 2. That one will continue to get new episodes every Friday and Saturday.

Magicampers premiered on Disney Jr. back in March, following two best friends who go to a camp for magical creatures. The season wrapped up in July, so this will most likely be the last batch of episodes added to Disney+.

Disney+ subscribers will get access to new episodes of The Husband, a Korean thriller series about a man whose wife gets kidnapped the day after they agree to get a divorce. On the happier side of things, we'll also get yet another episode of the Throwback Podcast all about the Cheetah Girls.

The latest lega-sequel, Camp Rock 3, is making its debut exclusively on Disney+. Yes, the Jonas Brothers make an appearance.

Of all places, Disney+ and Hulu is also where a new director’s cut of The X-Files: I Want to Believe, featuring the original ‘gorier’ version of the film, will have its streaming premiere. The streaming service will also be getting the original version of the 2008 film, which IGN’s reviewer didn’t exactly love in its original form.

August 16 marks the beginning of World Princess Week. To kick things off, the company is hosting the ultimate Disney Princess concert during its massive D23 Day event. Thankfully, the whole thing will be available to stream on Disney+.

In the middle of World Princess Week, one of the newer princesses, Sofia the First, will be getting some new spin-off episodes.

In a Disney-owned company crossover, Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Mandalorian, The Lion King) teamed up with National Geographic for LION, a docu-series all about the legendary king of the jungle. This week's episode of the Throwbacks Podcast will be about High School Musical.

As the final part of Disney’s World Princess Week celebrations, the service will be premiering a new LEGO series featuring the classic Disney heroines.

A new season of the animated series Big City Greens will kick off on Disney+ the day after it premieres on Disney Channel. The series follows siblings Cricket and Tilly and their family after moving from a farm to the literal Big City.

The third Venom movie we unfortunately called a "mostly boring superhero story" in our review will be making its way to Disney+ after its time on Netflix. Yep, Sony’s got some weird licensing deals. This was the one with the Venom Horse, if that makes you at all curious.

• Miraculous: Tales Of Ladybug & Cat Noir Season 6 – New Episodes
• The Simpsons: Yellow Mirror – Disney+ Exclusive Episode

New episodes of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug will be making their way to Disney+ after airing on Disney Jr. One thing that’ll be streaming exclusively on Disney+ is a new episode of The Simpsons, part of a three-episode arc being added to the service this summer.

August 27

To round out the end of the month, Disney+ will be streaming select matches from the US Open. To watch the whole thing, however, you’ll need an ESPN Unlimited subscription.
