Overview

LEGO's KPop Demon Hunters collab has dropped, with an 825-piece LEGO Derpy Tiger and Sussy Bird set coming out August 1 and up preorder now at LEGO's site.

Time will tell if this one is a LEGO Store exclusive, but given how massively popular the initial LEGO Kpop Demon Hunters tease was back in February, it wouldn't surprise me too much if this set appears at Amazon and the others either this week, or shortly after its release date.

LEGO Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird

The original teaser, posted to LEGO and Kpop official Instagram accounts, showed LEGO Derpy's animated foot knocking over a flower pot, and the actual set reflects the initial teaser perfectly. There's no reading between the lines, although we only know that with the benefit of hindsight.

News of the teaser also went viral on our own IGN Finds Facebook, because if there are two things people consistently enjoy seeing, it's LEGO and Kpop: Demon Hunters content. At least on the Facebook page I maintain, I can't speak for any of the million others.

The Kpop: Demon Hunters trading cards went up for preorder at the end of last month and were, not surprisingly, extremely popular. You can still preorder the sets, although some of them are offered by third-party vendors on Amazon. When it comes to trading cards, I generally advise people not to buy from 3rd-parties, but I'm not your dad, you can do whatever you want.

LEGO's line-up this year is following a broader trend of appealing to movie and game fans, with a LEGO Shrek, Donkey, and Puss in Boots set dropping at the start of June, and a LEGO Donkey Kong set teased in May.

Similar to the initial LEGO Kpop: Demon Hunters tease, the LEGO Donkey Kong tease gave no info other than confirmation of its existence and a LEGO barrel rolling across the frame.
