How to complete the Distortions quest in Destiny 2
About
Overview
The new Distortions quest in Destiny 2 introduces you to the event of the same name, which Bungie hopes will revitalise destination-based play a little more now that the game has received its final update. There is a range of really good new weapons available in this event, so it's well worth the time if you find something you want to farm, especially with the inclusion of attunement for pretty much all activities. You first get this quest from Lodi in the Tower, so here's what you need to do from then onwards to complete it, and how to play a Distortions event. After you visit Ikora and Lodi in the Tower, you'll get the Distortions quest. Lodi tells you that The Nine are still wreaking havoc on reality in a bid to escape the solar system, though none of that really matters now, but this is the intro to the new Distortions event. Your first step is to head to whatever destination is currently Distorted—you can tell this by the red circle around it. Once there: When done, the Strange Matter will transform into a Strange Signal you now have to follow. Your final step is following a Strange Signal. This marker will appear on the map as a circle, so select it to activate the nav marker on it and follow the markers to get there. You'll find a tough Distorted enemy at the location you need to beat—doing so will unlock a chest just next to them that you can open to get one of the event weapons, usually of a high tier. If you head into your inventory, select attunement, and then Distortions attunement, you can see all of the potential weapons that will drop. They each have the extremely fun Carrion Munitions origin trait, which spawns explosive insectoid robots that chase enemies when you defeat a powerful combatant. You can find info about each of these weapons' perk pools either in their respective entry in collections, or by using light.gg. This will help you decide which to attune to when completing Distortions and Strange Signals. 2026 games: All the upcoming gamesHow to complete the Distortions quest in Destiny 2
