Just days after teasing the first-ever Dragon Ball LEGO set, LEGO has officially unveiled the set. Called LEGO Dragon Ball Shenron & Goku, it’s a 1,764-piece set that depicts the dragon Shenron rising from the seven Dragon Balls. It comes with a minifigure of Kid Goku riding Kintoun, the flying cloud. It will cost $179.99 and will release November 1 for LEGO Insiders and November 4 for everyone else. LEGO Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku

LEGO Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku comes from a new partnership between LEGO and Toei Animation, the company behind the animated series, created by Akira Toriyama. The set is aimed squarely at the 18+ age group, meaning it’s intended for display rather than play. As such, the set includes a buildable black base with the Dragon Ball logo, making it easy to place on a shelf or desk.

The seven orange Dragon Balls are gathered on small translucent pedestals at the foot of the set. Lightning bolts frame the left and right sides, and Shenron rises from the center, swirling up into the air as an imposing presence. The relatively small Kid Goku minifigure swoops around on his cloud, raised into the air on an adjustable LEGO arm. It looks dramatic, just like the scene it depicts.

In Dragon Ball lore, once you’ve collected all seven Dragon Balls, you can summon the eternal dragon, who will grant your wish.

Details
