Meccha Chameleon Sneaks Onto Nintendo Switch 2 Later Today

Viral hide-and-seek game Meccha Chameleon is sneaking onto Nintendo Switch 2 – and it’s out today.

The indie developer behind the popular PC video game, lemorion_1224, confirmed the news during today’s September 2026 Nintendo Direct. Instead of waiting to check out Meccha Chameleon with a later release date, it was confirmed that players will be able to paint themselves into the experience starting today.

It’s currently unclear if Meccha Chameleon will come to other platforms like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

"Blend into your surroundings in this competitive multiplayer game that combines drawing and hide-and-seek," Nintendo said. shortly after its Direct reveal. "Strike a pose and paint yourself to become one with nearby walls, furniture, or ornaments using colors and patterns while the 'It' team searches for hidden players. Supporting 1-12 players online3, every match rewards creativity and quick thinking."
