The Blood of Dawnwalker Preorders Are Live, Here’s What Comes in Each Edition
About
Overview
This year's summer gaming presentations had quite a lot to show off, particularly Summer Game Fest. If you caught the new trailer for The Blood of Dawnwalker during Geoff Keighley's big showcase, and were instantly interested in jumping into its world, we have good news: Preorders are officially live for it across PS5, Xbox Series X and PC. Below, we've broken down what editions are available to preorder right now, how much they cost, and any preorder bonuses or extras that they may come with. Its release date is just a few months away - landing early in the busy September slot on the 3rd - so now is the time to secure a copy so you're ready to play on release day. PS5 (Physical) Xbox Series X (Physical) Digital PC The standard release of The Blood of Dawnwalker is available for $69.99 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. In regard to the PC version, you can actually scoop it up for a little bit cheaper from Fanatical right now, which is a fun surprise. By ordering this standard version early you'll get a preorder bonus as well, which we've detailed below, but those interested in a physical copy get a little extra. For those who preorder a physical copy of the standard edition, you'll receive the Day 1 Edition of The Blood of Dawnwalker. It is priced the same as the standard version, but comes with a steelbook and world map alongside the base game disc, which you can see in the image below. Other retailers are also offering their own bonuses with a physical preorder, like Best Buy and GameStop. If you preorder through the former, you'll get a free $10 Best Buy gift card with your purchase. GameStop, on the other hand, is offering its own exclusive bonus on physical preorders of a sticker set, which you can see in the image below. Digital PC The Eclipse Edition of The Blood of Dawnwalker is only available digitally and priced at $79.99 (or a little less if you're buying for PC through Fanatical). Alongside the base game and preorder bonus, this version comes with: The Collector's Edition of The Blood of Dawnwalker is stacked with exciting goodies for those ready to drop some cash on it. Priced at $199.99, it comes with the following alongside the base game and preorder bonus: By ordering any edition of The Blood of Dawnwalker early, you'll get the Sangoran Wayfarer’s Armor Set as a preorder bonus, which you can see in the photo above. The Blood of Dawnwalker is the debut game from developer Rebel Wolves, which was founded by developers who formerly worked at CD Projekt Red. It's a single-player, open-world action RPG that sees you playing as Coen, "A young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night" according to The Blood of Dawnwalker website. IGN's Matt Purslow was able to check it out recently - in particular, its prologue - and wrote in his hands-off preview that "It feels like Rebel Wolves has created a prologue that effectively establishes a dark medieval world and lays the initial tracks for Coen’s interesting dual-lane journey in which you must master both the man and the vampire. It’s knowing what comes after all this, though – the depth of its day/night “narrative sandbox” and the multitude of opportunities for both sides of Coen that I was shown previously – that places The Blood of Dawnwalker among the small handful of games that I’m impatiently waiting for this year."
