Overview

Daredevil star Charlie Cox has confirmed that he is starring in another video game, this one for Sega.

Cox opened up about the project at New York Comic-Con 2026, telling IGN’s Jeffrey Vega that he’s completed recording for an as-yet unannounced Sega video game.

“I did another one! It doesn’t have a name yet,” he said. “I did a Sega one. I’ve done one since. It hasn’t come out yet. It was fun to do. It’s hard. It’s a whole different job, man.”

Cox went on to share a humorous anecdote about his experience working on the game, saying that the crew weren’t aware that he wasn’t American.

“I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say, but I showed up for it, and I met them for the first time, they asked me to do this game, and so I agreed to it. Then I had to do 40 hours or whatever it was, and I showed up for the first day, and I was like, ‘Hi guys, nice to meet you! How are you?’ And all of them went, ‘...oh, he’s English.’ They’d hoped, they’d wanted him to be American. But now I’ve got to do 40 hours of lines I’ve not prepared in an accent. Yeah, I think they thought I was American.”

This, at least, gives us one bit of information about his role in the mysterious game — he’ll be playing an American character (or at least, a character with an American accent), and it’s likely that his role will be central to the plot, given that he recorded 40 hours’ worth of lines for it.

Details

It's also worth noting that Cox confirmed he was working on a new game earlier this year, though he similarly declined to mention many details at the time.

Thus far, that’s all we know. Cox has already proven his voice acting chops with Expedition 33, where he played Gustave, famously recording all of his lines in a mere four-hour session. Players lauded his performance after the game released in 2025, and he was even nominated for Best Performance at the Game Awards that year.

Sega’s upcoming lineup of video game releases includes Stranger Than Heaven, Virtua Fighter Crossroads, Persona 6, and Alien: Isolation 2, among several others. Given that this particular project doesn’t even have a name yet, it’s unlikely that it’s any of these that have already been announced, so we’ll just have to wait and see what’s in store.

In the meantime, fans of Charlie Cox can look forward to Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, though this is set to be the end of Matt Murdock’s current adventures — at least for the time being. The news broke in late September alongside reports that its showrunner, Dario Scardapane, exited the series while it was in post-production.

Kingpin actor Vincent D’Onofrio penned a heartfelt goodbye to the series on social media, writing, “We have the final Season, season 3 heading your way next year with some very cool stuff. Much love to all who have been supportive. I love that character Fisk. Always will. Off to another neck off the woods. Meanwhile… Season 3 is coming!”
